Brian’s Ponytail LIVES!

As many of you know, for the past week we’ve been collecting donations to either KEEP or CUT the ponytail of Brian Gillespie, one of the store owners. It’s been a wild ride. It was originally announced through an event on the Wandering Havoc Facebook Page, and then shortly afterwards a Facebook account for Brian’s Ponytail was created, and pleaded desperately for it’s life as people commented on the event, and started to vote on whether or not to side with Team CUT or Team KEEP. Some people vowed to cut their hair out of solidarity if the Team CUT won, and similar vows were made on the side of Team KEEP.

We kept the donations for either side open for until 9PM Friday, March 1st. Right at the very end there was a flurry of donations as people showed up to make sure their vote got counted. In the end, after counting up the last-minute donations, and the change in the bottom of each bucket, the final tally was $191.80 for Team KEEP, and $172.82 for Team CUT.

We’d like to thank everyone who donated their spare change and more to this event. It was a lot of fun to watch people battle back and forth on the event page. We’ll be using the money to help pay for a portion of the many moving expenses we’ll incur as we move to our new location!
